A splendid rendezvous for the Boston area H-28's was organized in July 1993 by Harry & Sally Chisholm (Jolly Tar) and Tom & Jean Fisher (Fairwind).  Pictured above are seven attending H-28s.  In the four slips to port of the yellow steam launch in the foreground are: Fairwind, Jolly Tar, Nave-Sho, and Otaha.  Otaha is a schooner rigged H-28 built in Nova Scotia.  The three ketches opposite them across the main dock are Limulus, Pouf, and Sorceress.  A lot of beautiful detail (you can read Jolly Tar's life ring) is visible in the enlargements.  Nav-Sho is built exactly to L.F. Herreshoff's plans, with a low profile cabin, open cockpit, open interior, fold down pipe berths, and a cedar bucket.  The other five H-28s are modified designs with raised coachroofs and masthead rigs, and four have bowsprits.  Limulus, Pouf, Sorceress and Jolly Tar are all Bermuda 30's, a modified H-28 built by Cheoy Lee in Hong Kong.  The interior of Jolly Tar is featured on the Interiors page.
