Pictured here is the interior and companion of Jolly Tar, owned by Harry & Sally Chisholm in Massachusetts. Jolly Tar is a Bermuda 30 built by Cheoy Lee of Hong Kong in the 1960's. This is a modified H-28 design and has the "doghouse" raised cabin profile to give standing headroom below. They have maintained her beautifully, with the perfect balance of rich varnish and white paint to make it bright and cheery below. Note the detail on the elaborate carved hanging knee in the last photo.
Ventilated companion doors.
Doors swing out for convenience. Note bridge deck and high sill
for strength
and safety. Seas coming aboard are less likely to drain into
the cabin.
Main cabin looking for'ard. Note bulkhead stove mounted to port.
Main cabin looking aft.
Hanging knee supporting coachroof. Note the detailed carving.
